Green is In!
I’ve been wanting to get myself one of those colored jeans and I finally did! The “Queen of Color,” Jessica Alba loves wearing them, she’s one of my style icons by the way. I tried several, coral, blue and pink and I ended up with this green one because it’s my favorite color. And also I’m still not ready for those bright colored ones.
My favorite color combination is blue and green so I wore this navy vest like top with it. I wore a cardigan of course because I have huge arms haha! And my favorite in this outfit is this smoking slippers or also known as loafers. Huli ako sa uso dahil matagal na tong sinusuot ng mga celebrities, at ngayon lang ako nakabili. What can I do, I live in the mountains, matagal bago dumating ang mga trends dito haha! Better late than never. And those are courtesy of my generous husband. I was able to convince him to buy me one haha!

Obsession
My friends know that I am obsessed with polka dots. I don’t know why, but I really love that print. People often wear polka dots on New Year’s Eve for good luck but for me I wear polka dots so I’d feel pretty haha! I feel feminine when I wear polka dots. I think it’s a print you can wear every season and it does not go out of style.
I wasn’t planning on buying this top from Bayo, but when I saw the print I fell in love with it right away and I can’t let go of it. I’m so in love with those dots! I wore my usual jeans with it and paired it with light pink flats for a very feminine look.
I really love the fabric of this top because it does not cling to the skin. The shape is very flattering, it hides those bulges. Sabi nga ni Charles naka-optical illusion nanaman daw ako haha! I’ll take that as a compliment.
It was a great day to wear polka dots because we finally saw the sun after two weeks!

Birthday Shopping+Work
I really love this top Striped top from Bayo. I had tuck it in because it’s becoming loose on me. Wow pumapayat lang? Haha! This was a repeat outfit, I’ve worn this combi in the office before, favorite ko e. Di naman ako artista para di magulit ng damit noh. Of course I paired it with black pants, who could go wrong with black pants, and for a pop of color I wore my turquoise flats.

My week is already planned because we’ve been preparing for Uno’s big day. He’s turning two! I’m so excited for the weekend. I think best part of being a mom is planning for your child’s birthday. I used to hate planning events before but now, I love it, especially for events for my son.

Boho
I woke up late this morning so I was late for work, 26 minutes late actually. Then this wide leg jeans came to my mind while I was doing my thing in the bathroom. I’ve been wanting to wear this pair of wide leg jeans for a long time but I can’t fit in them ever since I gave birth. Surprisingly today, I fit in them again! I can now say that I really lost weight. I wanted to wear them for a change because I usually wear slim or skinny jeans all the time. I was trying to achieve slouchy chic for my look today.
I paired my jeans with a semi cropped top to balance the wide leg of the jeans. I really love this top because it gives a bohemian vibe. For a pop of color I wore my super pink flats and finished it off with my black handbag.
Aside from adding jewelry to my outfit, I would also like to use some bright colored lipsticks. I envy women who can pull off bright pink, red and orange lippies. I’m not used to wearing make-up so I have to plan this carefully haha!

This look was so much inspired by Madewell Spring 2012 Lookbook, specifically the look below. My favorite color is green, so my current favorite shoes are these green flats from Parisian Comfy. The striped Bayo shirt that I’m wearing is very comfortable, so pasok sa banga for summer haha! These jeans from Human are perfect for the cropped jeans look that we see on celebrities, I think not all jeans are made for cropping. And of course the bracelets are handmade by me.
I love summer, because it’s the perfect season to wear colors. So this summer is our chance to put some life to our dull outfits. Especially for moms, this time is the chance for us to be playful and youthful in our outfits. Moms can wear vibrant colors and prints. We just have to find the right color that complements our skin tone and the right print that flatters our figures. We just have to take the risk sometimes.

Last shift!
I’m always excited every time it’s my last shift because I’m going to have my rest day again and I will have less work at the office. Since I wasn’t doing a lot at work, I found out that my friend Charles would be a good photographer for my lookbook entries hehe!

It has been a routing for myself to go to SM on my last shifts. This is like my ME time and it’s also a form relaxation for me. I just window shop, but sometimes if I have money I buy a pair of shoes or a blouse. And today, I received a P500+ peso incentive so I was able buy a pair of ballet flats and a new water tumbler for my Uno.
Uno’s new tumbler and his favorite book at the moment. He can’t read but he loves turning the pages of this book.
Kala mo nagbabasa noh. Nakakatuwa lang!
