Fun At Work!
This is a great thing about call centers, or any type of work out there, we sometimes have parties in the office. This is one thing that employers do to make their employees happy. Our account organized cook-out party, but I call it a pig out party because there are a lot of food and most of it are meat. There’s just one vegetable dish which is chop seuy. Good thing there are some fruits and vegetable salad as side dishes. I got portions of almost all of the dishes, and it’s kinda difficult to eat an all meat meal. I ate at around 7:30 am and it’s 12:40 pm but I still feel the heaviness in my stomach. I will be taking cillium when I get gome to help my digestion and so I could flush all the cholesterol I took haha! Some of the dishes are ok and some of them are great. I specially love the taste of the chicken. I just can’t figure out what herb they used to marinate it.
There were music, raffle draws, booze and food. Imagine having unlimited beer, it’s like drink all you can, that would be equal to happy employees. I am no beer drinker and I don’t drink alcohol at all so I don’t benefit from that but I benefited from the unlimited breakfast. A few employees are happier because they won the raffle, some of them won LCD TVs, laptops and other gadgets.
I don’t often go to parties that were organized by our company, but I enjoyed this cook out party this time. Maybe because I have a blog and this event is something to blog about, but more than that I have a few good friends in the office that I enjoy being with. The best part about this party is the photo booth. Golden, Carmina and I tried it and the picture came out boring.

They teased us that the photo looked like an ID picture…haha!

Our second attempt, I think it improved.

On our 3rd attempt, we called our other friends. It’s really true that the more the merrier!

Pasta Penee
I am watching American Idol while writing this. My son is also trying to take over the keyboard. It’s always a task when I write for my blog because I have a little boy who always want my attention. Haha!
Here is a very simple recipe that you can do with penee pasta, I like to use penee because it absorbs a lot of sauce. And I’m proud of this recipe because this is an original recipe I made, I did not copy it from any website.

Ingredients:
1/2 kl penee pasta
250 ml pack of Del Monte Cheese sauce
250 ml pack of tomato sauce
2 cloves of garlic, minced
a few strips of bacon, chopped finely
Mixed herbs
salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Set aside and save the pasta water.
2. Saute garlic and bacon until golden brown.
3. Add cheese sauce and tomato sauce, let it simmer a bit. The sauce will be a little thick so add a cup of the pasta water to thin it. Put salt and pepper to taste and of course the mixed dried herbs. Add the pasta into the sauce, then let it boil a bit.
4. When I made this, I baked the pasta for 15 mins afterwards at 350 degrees F, but you can skip that. I just like to bake it so that the pasta will absorb more of the sauce.
That’s a very simple recipe, isn’t it? This is perfect for busy moms who wants to cook something that’s very quick.
Crunch!
I love ice cream, this is one of my favorite desserts. A lot of ice cream brands mix ice cream with chocolate. There’s Selecta and Nestle, but I want to try Nestle this time. I know there’s a lot of calories in those but we need to indulge sometimes. A little of this wouldn’t hurt. Hihihi!
One of my favorite chocolates is Crunch. I love just it’s texture and I love to be able to hear something when I take a bite. Nestle now have their Chocolate Collection. Creamy chocolate ice cream mixed with Nestle Crunch, so sinful!

Friends+Point and Grill+Bayo
I did something new for a change. It’s been a long time since I have done something like this. I went out with some colleagues from work. I didn’t realize that it’s good to do something like this sometimes until I did it. Most of the time I go out alone or with my family. We just ate but it’s refreshing to me, I’m grateful that Golden asked me to come with them.
We decided to eat at Point and Grill. It’s been a long time since I ate there. I never came back there because of their poor customer service before but I’m surprised that they’ve changed. Their service are more prompt now and the waiters are more helpful.
I ate baby back ribs which only costs P99. They have meals that only costs P99 and that’s already a meal that includes rice and sauteed vegetables, you can get a drink if you add P15, plus you have a lot of choices. The portions are big so your P99 is definitely worth it if you are have a big appetite.
The ribs are tender but it has too much sauce so it’s a little overwhelming. The ribs would have tasted better with less sauce because the meat itself is already tasty. The sauce actually tastes good but it’s just too much, it would have been better if they did not add it yet. But overall I will come back to try their other meals. My husband would love this place because of their huge portions.

Baby back ribs.

Closer.

Breaded pork chops. It’s a lot right? This is what Shelley ordered. She was not able to finish it hehe!

Cordon Bleu. For a tiny girl like Golden this is a lot. She said it tastes good. It has lot of cheese and the meat is tender.

Hainanese Delights

Sunday is always a family day, and most families bond through eating. That’s what me and my husband do most of time. We tried eating at Hainanese Delights. This is a newly opened restaurant in SM Baguio, kinda like Chowking but the food they serve are totally different. Hainanese has a more authentic taste. Best thing about them is they have unlimited hainanese rice for all their rice meals.

Uno was asleep, he was not able to eat.
