Beckham Inspired

I love it when men look clean and well groomed, think James Dean. For me he’s the epitome of a clean, good smelling man. I have been asking my husband to get a haircut, even to the point that I nag him. He’s very stubborn sometimes that’s why I had to ask him almost everyday. I don’t want him to go back to his long hair. I hate that! So today he had a haircut and what surprised me is that he was checking Google images for men’s haircut. He saw a few and did not tell me what he will be getting.

He came back after a few minutes and surprised me with this haircut. I loved it, it’s so fashion forward! Fumafashion na ang asawa ko! And I really have to blog it because it’s a mile stone for me. It’s just a sign that he’s now conscious about how he looks but not to the point of being vain, I wouldn’t want that to happen. It makes me happy that he makes effort to make himself look good. It’s a great mother’s day gift!

Fashion Trends I Will Never Understand (and refuse to understand)

Trends come and go. Most of the fashion trends from the 90’s are coming back now. Some trends are classic and will stand the test of time but some trends are just so odd. And the weird thing about it is, aside from runway models and celebrities wearing it, there are ordinary people who really wear them just so they can be called “trendy.” Some of these trends are just meant for some people, so please, if it doesn’t suit you, don’t wear it.

Here are photos of what I think are the worst. (Please don’t hate me.)

(Source) Ugg boots. I really don’t understand the shape and the whole appearance of these boots, especially when you wear them in a place called the Philippines. Like seriously?

Great pieces from Madewell

I love Madewell, I’m seriously in love with this brand even if it’s not available in the Philippines. Hanggang tingin lang ako pero ok lang namang mangarap hehe. I’ve seen clothes here that are similar to what they have except for their dresses, it’s hard to find a counterpart here. I’ve known this brand for a good 2 years and I only found only one dress similar to what they have last yea which I got that from Bayo.

So here some of my favorites from their new arrivals.

Kade Spade x Keds

The most adorable sneaker has finally arrived! Kate Spade teams up with Keds to make the most stylish sneakers ever (in my opinion!) I wish it comes to the Philippines.

I especially love the pointy stripe one because it’s point anf stipe and of course the polka dot. I can’t get enough of polka dots seriously! All of them have that spade detail at the back which gives each pair that extra ummph.

Meggings

Meggings mean male leggings or leggings for men. I think this is the most ridiculous trend ever for men. I mean who would wear them? I guess athletes but as long as it’s worn for sports only. Please! I don’t want to catch anyone wearing this on the streets, I think I’d faint if I see one, (OA lang?)

P.S.: To my husband, never wear these please! I’d let you sleep outside our room.

Great Fall Looks From Madewell (Perfect for the Baguio Weather)

Cozy sweaters, bright colored jeans and smoking slippers. Three of the things I love about the latest Madewell Lookbook. Fall is all about layering, lucky for us in Baguio, we can wear this trend because it’s starting to get really cold in here. The looks below inspire me so much!

Channeling this today.

Question: What men should wear to a formal wedding?

The person who asked this question wants to stay anonymous. (Sige ikaw na! Haha!) He asked me, what should men wear to a formal event, specifically a wedding? I immediately thought of J. Crew Wedding and that’s where I found some inspiration.

All weddings have color motifs, so that motif is where you should start. It’s nice to have a touch of that color in your outfit. When it comes to formal events, men I think, are the easiest to dress and style. But in some cases men tend to wear clothes that are bigger than their body built. It’s important to wear something that fits and will bring out your assets.

Outfit suggestions:

Men's wedding fashion

First look:Navy vest, black pants and white shirt.

I love this look because it’s very laid back at the same time polished. This looks reminds me of Downton Abbey where vests are just worn under a tuxedo. But since we are in the modern times we can wear vests without a blazer.I love navy with black that’s why I chose a navy blazer. The sleeves of the shirt should be folded like how the model wears it. It gives it a more modern and rockstar look.

A navy suede shoes gives this look more color aside from the navy vest. It’s important that we use a pair of nice fitting trousers in this look and it should also have the right length.

You can incorporate the color motif of the wedding in the tie. I’d prefer a silver satin tie on this look. It will definitely pop in the navy vest. A nice dress watch and a pair of a classic wayfarers should complete the look.
