I was on leave for three days last week for our wedding anniversary. After going to our company pharmacy to get some medicine because I got a bit sick (my allergic rhinitis was in full force!), Uno and I went to the mall for some bonding. Here is a series of photos to tell the story of what we did last Wednesday.

This is after we ate at Jollibee. Uno wanted to a picture with the Jollibee statue.
I’ve been eyeing on this restaurant for weeks now, so 2 days after our anniversary was the perfect opportunity. We weren’t able to celebrate on the day of anniversary because my husband had to work and we weren’t able to go out the next day because my husband did something stupid (long story!)
Anyway, we had a great experience at Kangaroo Jack. The food was awesome and the ambiance is very Australian outback. Clyde can’t stop talking about how good their vegetables were. He still talked about it 24 hours after we ate. He even said “sarap talaga nung gulay sa Kangaroo Jack, di ko makalimutan.” I think that’s proof enough! My husband is very picky on where we eat. He does not mind paying as long as the food is good and the servings are huge.

Menu.
Happy anniversary to my dearest husband, Clyde. I’m looking forward to more years with you. We’ve been through a lot in the past 3 years that most couples experience in the latter part of their marriages. And those things made us stronger. I don’t say this a lot but I really appreciate the changes you have made for us. I hope you know that you are a better husband and father now.

Nung magboyfriend-girlfriend pa lang kami. Hihi!
We do fight a lot, like a lot. I always nag you for being messy. You know that I am OC so please! Bibi, please be more patient with me and most especially with Uno. I know Uno can get into your nerves dahil sa sobrang kulit nya. Well, that’s part of growing up and I know he got that from you, haha!
I hope we stay this happy and blessed for the rest of our lives together with God’s help.
I love you so much!

Chinese food has been in the lives of Filipino people. From siopao to siomai, not to mention pansit which will always be a favorite for most of us. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants around but I think Mann Hann’s food is one of the most authentic.
Last Sunday, (as we usually do when my sister is here) we had a family bonding, we actually love to eat (obvious naman sa akin diba?haha!). We are tired of the usual fast food so we decided to eat at Mann Hann. They have great interiors but it was a great day to eat outside the restaurant while seeing a great view.

You’re officially a senior citizen today!
I know my dad is not here with us but we still want to celebrate his life but we did it two days earlier, hehe! I think I got the cooking gene from him. I love to cook and bake now. I love making people smile with food which he loves doing to when he was still alive. I baked the cake and I cooked spaghetti. I’m sure he’d love what I made because he is my number one fan. I know you were watching from above last Saturday, seeing all the people who love you so dearly.

Spaghetti.
I had to work on my birthday, which I don’t usually do. In the past years I always make sure that I was on leave on my birthday but this year. Sitel decided to block November 3. Masama pa din ang loob ko sa nangyari na yun. I’m going on leave because it’s my birthday, some companies even have birthday leaves. I still don’t understand why they didn’t allow me to go on leave during my birthday.
Moving on. Even if I was working on my birthday, it didn’t stop me from celebrating my birthday. Like any normal work day, I woke up early and prepared to get to work. I received greetings from colleagues and friends. It’s always nice to receive at least one birthday greeting on your birthday. At least someone remembered your special day.
After work I met my sister and my son, (my sister came home for my birthday!) My sister did some pampering time at We Do. While she’s doing that, (my son is a bit claustrophobic so he didn’t like staying at We Do while waiting) we went to those coin operated cars. Buti na lang may mga ganun sa Porta Vaga kung hindi, tantrums galore ang inabot ko. After We Do, we went to SM to buy a kitchen organizer. I’ve been wanting that rack, my sister offered to pay the other half of the price. Dream come true on my birthday! We went home after because I was so hungry and tired.

Uno was so happy in this ride.
(Taken using MOLOME) Uno in Ace Hardware, nagtatrantums na sya ng lagay na yan. Nakakainis sya kahit naka smile.
I made zuchini lasagna and red velvet cake with the best frosting I’ve ever tasted the day before. My mom cooked me some pansit bihon and fried chicken. She never failed to cook us pansit on our birthdays, even if my sister is in Manila, she still cooks her pansit on her birthday. They loved my lasagna and cake, (they are my number one fan when it comes to cooking and baking, hehe!) I forgot to take pictures of the food hehe!
Today, I want to blog about how great my experience was with Sky Cable’s Twitter customer support. They deserve this blog entry.

We moved to a new apartment, consequently, our cable T.V. service and internet service has to be transferred. I requested our cable service to be transferred October 24th and I also paid the P500 transfer fee, I also requested that the service be transferred to our new house by Friday because that’s my mother’s only recreation. Come Friday, somebody texted my mom asking if we were at home, she replied she will be at home all day but nobody showed up. A few days after, somebody came and said that the engineering team still has to check the lines.
In the coming weeks my mom kept calling their call center in Baguio because nobody was showing up. She even spoke to one rude agent who said “hindi naman ako engineering ma’am,” my mom just said to that person “bwisit!” and dropped the call. Can you blame my mother for being frustrated, she’s elderly and her only recreation is to watch T.V. all day. Sky Cable should train their agents how to empathize with their customers, that’s not the right way to answer a frustrated customer. I know that because I’m a call center agent.
A few days after, I called them, all they say is that they will follow it up. Technicians kept coming every other day but they didn’t install the service, they would always say that they need to wait for the approval of the engineering team. One tech who came said that we gave the wrong address, that’s totally not true. The person who processed my request wasn’t listening well. They don’t know what active listening is.
I turned 28 last Saturday. I always wish I could stay 25 forever. I am 2 years to becoming 30 which is something I wanted to avoid but as they say age is just a number and aging is something that every human will experience and it’s something inevitable.

(Source)
Aging I think is a beautiful thing because personally, I became wiser. I learned a new skill which I never thought I would learn. (I am a self-taught baker!) I became more confident in my own skin (I still feel insecure sometimes but that’s part of being a woman!) I found my personal style, I learned new things about fashion and beauty. I found out that moms should all be domestic divas. We should always look good for our family but at the same time we should not be sacrificing the needs of our family. I think you know what I mean, yes?

That is the long line going to J. Co Donuts and Coffee at MOA. Ganyan kabaliw ang mga tao sa donuts na yan? Why? What’s the buzz about these donuts?
You all know I live in the mountains but good thing I have a sister who works in Manila who keeps me updated of the latest stuff in the Metro especially on food. She has been telling me about these donuts, how good they are and she even compared it to Krispy Kreme. She said it’s not very sweet unlike Krispy Kreme’s, (I still love their Honey Glazed ok.)
