Poor Customer Service at The Body Shop SM Baguio

Yes I know the title is so long but the title of this entry must be that. I have always loved the products of the Body Shop especially their body butters. Now that I’m into skin care, (thanks to Golden and Agatha!) I wanted to try their face products because they are natural, made of high quality ingredients, earth friendly and most specially they help a lot of small communities in the world. The Body Shop is actually on sale right now so I took the opportunity to check their products.
I work in the call center industry and the account I am on is very particular about giving customers the best customer service ever. All I’m saying is I know what good customer service is and I didn’t get that at the Body Shop. The sales personnel was a bit snappy and does not even smile. She looks at me like I don’t know what I want to buy. She asked me what my skin type is in an irritated tone. I have combination skin, which means I have an oily T-zone and dry on the cheeks. Guess what? She doesn’t know what combination skin is. Wag ka magtaray te kung di mo pala alam.
When I shop I look around first, actually even before I go to their store I check their website first so I have an idea what I want to buy from them. I went there and check their products on sale, there’s nothing I want. The regular items are 10% off, so I told her what I was looking for, the one I want is not available. I asked her about other night serums, the sales assistant is like in a hurry. It all happened so fast and next thing I remember is she walked away from me. Wow! Ganun na lang yun? Maybe she wasn’t accommodating because I don’t look rich. Maybe she thought I didn’t have the money. Naisip ko ibblog kita kala mo! Haha!
There goes my bad experience from an international brand. I hope their other branches have nice personnel. I ended up buying from Watson’s particularly Neutrogena and Garnier. I will always love Watson’s because all their sales personnel are very nice and knew what good customer service is.
At the end of the day, something nice happened with my beauty product shopping. God is really good!
