A Trilogy in a Week

I’m going to write this while it’s still fresh in my mind. This 50 Shades trilogy got me so hooked I was able to read the 3 books in a week. I still have to do some chores and I was even able to process my application so I could get a new smart phone. Yay! I got a Blackberry! It will never be the same without my Android but it’s better that not having a smart phone at all. I will write more things about it on a separate entry. What I’m just saying is that even if I was a busy mom, I was able to find some time to read the book anytime I have a chance. That’s how engaging these books are.

PLOT:

This book is so entertaining. The writer did great on catching a person’s attention, it’s like a telenovela that will keep you wondering what will happen next. I love that the book is so fearless. The story is a mix of everything and I like that it’s set in the present time. The story is very modern. This book has been a part in my decision to get a Blackberry. The writer did a good job in describing every bit of the the character’s appearance and personality. I think any good writer knows how to do that. The story is a mix of sex, drama, romance, and action. And I must say that the book is well researched.

Another thing I really love about these books is the conversations of Ana and Christian, using emails. The relationship may be fast paced. They dated, moved in and got married within a year but the story was not at all. James was able to reveal secrets of Christian Grey all through out the three books. I think this book is made to be a movie. The movie would be great, given that the screenplay and cast will be good.

MAIN CHARACTERS:

I especially love the main characters. Let me start with the hot Christian Grey. I will always love intriguing characters. His character was hiding a lot, he’s mysterious. He wants to be in controlled of everything. I think this is the reason why this book became a best seller, probably the bulk of the people who bought these books are women. He’s so sexual and handsome, he’s controlling but at the same time loving. James did very well in revealing the other side of his controlling character. Are men really that sexual? Just read the book and you’ll know what I’m saying.

Now, Anastasia Steele. I love that at first she seems to be timid and innocent and through out the three books, she has emerged to be a brave, no-nonsense woman, given that she is so young. She was the only one who never submitted to Christian Grey. She’s someone who knows what she wants, she wants compromise.

I’m just wondering, are some women really that sensitive? It’s like she gets multiple O’s whenever they have sex. Christian just touches him and she’s like, you know what I’m saying. I’m not going to delve into the details of what they are doing. Just read the book.

I just have one negative comment about the book. I read in a review that the writer kept using the same words over and over again. I would have agree to that. Maybe James ran out of words to describe some of the events, characters and situations hehe!

Entirely the books are very entertaining. I have never wanted to read more of a book since Harry Potter. No one wonder it became #1 New York Times Best Seller. I would highly recommend it and I can’t wait who they will choose to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

***This is not a review I’m just sharing what I think about the book.
