6 years ago Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise got married and look so in love. I was so surprised and it made me sad when I found out that Katie Holmes filed for divorce. I thought this Hollywood power couple would last forever, they looked so in love and even had a lavish wedding. They have a beautiful daughter Suri. Their family looked so perfect but we are all wrong. I’m sure Katie have a very strong reason why she filed for divorce, well, I hope.

Me and my husband had some bonding time today, we went grocery shopping and my husband bought me a baking pan. Yay! We’re starting to buy baking equipments. Cooking and baking is something that we both love to do. Next on our list is a hand held mixer or a stand mixer. We still need more baking pans. I will be baking some cookies this weekend and I will attempt to make bread too, so watch out for that!

It was raining all day because there is a storm in the country. My shoes were soaking wet and my pants were a bit wet as well. So tomorrow I will wear pedals and my cute rain flats that I bought in preparation for the rainy season. And mind you I got that for only P150. So I made a little project, I found some old jeans and cut them and turned them into pedals! No sewing required!

I baked some cookies yesterday because my friend requested me to. Ayan Joy ganyan kita kamahal at pinagbake pa kita ng cookies haha! Of course I baked cookies for my family too. My previous recipe has oreos and raisins, this time I used chocolate chips. This recipe is adapted from damndelicious, she has the best recipe for soft and chewy cookie.

Ingredients:

3 cups All Purpose Flour

2 tbsp Baking Powder

1/2 tsp Salt

1 cup Butter, softened

1 and 1/2 cups Brown Sugar, packed

2 eggs

2 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Me and my sister are Papa’s girl. Growing up we always go to our Dad when our Mother wouldn’t allow us to do things. When we go to him it’s always a yes. Ganun talaga siguro ang mga anak na babae, mas close sa mga tatay nila. 

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to express our love for our father. Our church celebrated Father’s day yesterday, we celebrated it late but it’s special, we saved the best for last as they say. 

Wives and children gave messages to their Dad and husbands in their lives and it was one teary day for everyone. It all started when Ate Gryll read my sister’s message for my dad.

This little boy loves to eat Oreo cookies, so I decided to bake some cookies for him that has Oreos in it. It’s actually the one he is eating in this photo. I like the idea of home made cookies because it looks different from store bought cookies. Home made cookies are not perfectly round, I love the rustic look of it. I think this is what they say that there is beauty in imperfection. Me ganon talaga? Haha!

I googled some cookie recipes so I have an idea on how to bake a cookie. I want my cookie crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and this is the best recipe I found. Click here to see the original recipe.

As always I tweaked the recipe, so I could give my own flavor. In here, instead of using chocolate chips, I used crumbled Oreos and I also made a batch that has raisins in them. So here’s my version! This recipe will make you 24 cookies!

My son loves reading, well, my son doesn’t know how to read yet because he’s only 2 but he loves being read to. I would love to develop in him the culture of reading because this is very important as he grows up. I’ve been reading to him since he was a tini tiny baby. I bought some books that he loves to read over and over again, I got those books from Book Sale by the way. If you want unique and cheap books for your kids, Book Sale is the place to be. Most of the time he wants me and his Nanay to read to him.

For kids, it’s important that the book have colorful illustrations and it’s a must that the stories be short because children have short attention span. So when I found this application from Google Play, I immediately downloaded it. I know Uno would love it and he did! It’s called iStory Books. It’s an application filled with different stories and fairy tales that we all loved when we were kids and still love, personally.

Starting today, I’ll be using a real camera in taking photos for my blog kasi sayang naman, di nagagamit. And also starting today, I will be more creative in my photos haha! At in fairness umaayos na si Clyde sa kanyang pagpipicture. I just found out now that my camera was in manual focus yesterday that’s why the photos were blurry.

I also like to thank Golden for saying that the old pose that I ditched is not Little Miss Philippines. She even said that the likes of Divine Lee and Jenni Epperson does that pose. So I realized I will not be ditching that totally because I was encouraged by Golden’s words. Friend talaga kita at napakasupportive mo sa akin and for that I thank you so much! At isa pa alam ko may alam si Golden sa fashion and posing kaya naniniwala ako sa kanya.

Now about my outfit today, I felt young this morning so I decided to wear something very casual like I was in college. And another thing it was raining this morning so something casual is perfect for a rainy day. A very simple outfit for a gloomy weather.

First of all sorry for the blurry photos, my husband was the one who took it. Thank God for Photoshop I was able to repair it a bit.

This outfit is inspired by Parisian women, who dress simply but still look very chic, and of course, the stripes is very much inspired by them. It’s something they wear for a trip to the grocery store or to the market. I wore my black striped peasant blouse with black pants that I rolled to give it casual look. The sneakers gives this ensemble a casual look as well. For a pop of color I wore my long, red cardigan.

I am ditching my usual pose because Coach Ashley said it’s so Little Miss Philippines haha! I use those criticisms so I could improve my blog.

I love this cardigan that I bought from my office mate’s sister, who sells second hand clothing or “ukay.” So today I decided to wear it my my shirt dress but of course I wore leggings because the shirt dress is too short for work. I felt so put together and classic with this outfit.

What do you think of this look?

I know this movie was shown months ago but I just had the time to watch it now. This movie is about the life of the British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She was called the Iron Lady because of her leadership style. There was one part of the movie when they had a war against Argentina where she showed strength but at the same time she showed that she has a heart. She even said, “sink it” in a very decisive tone, in which she is referring to the Argentinian ship. There were a lot casualties and when she was told about it she just said, “I have to write a letter to the families of this soldier.” And on her letter she said that she was one the only prime minister who is a mother so she knows the feeling of a mother losing her children, in which I think she showed that she has a heart. She was the longest serving prime minister of the 20th century and people say that she was the  greatest prime minister since Winston Churchill.

Today is father’s day as we all know, that’s why it’s a must that we go out. Clyde has a shift so we decided to just meet-up in SM. The service was finished early so I decided to go to the first mall in Baguio, BCM (Baguio Center Mall) because there is a new department store there. I want to check if there’s something different in there. Well, there’s nothing different except that the store is well lit and I saw some brands that I don’t know. I just bought a pack of mini dinosaurs for Uno because that’s where he pulled me.

Kate and Le Yanni, sila lang napicturan ko sa church hehe!

By the way on our way to the city, Uno and I met a man who sells pre-need plans. He’s an agent of Phil-Am plans, because of the heavy traffic he was able to give me brief information about their educational plans. So Clyde and I are thinking about getting one because the man said that the younger the child, the lower the price of their plans.

It’s been a while since I’ve worn this jacket, I got this jacket from ukay for only P100. I thought this jacket was too bulky that’s why I don’t wear it but when I tried it this morning it look great. 

I paired it with jeans that the I folded once to make it look cropped and pink flats. I think this look is so feminine. The rainy weather gives me an excuse to wear jackets now.

Today, my husband and I went to John Hay to check the stores there, because I’ve been wanting to buy Native shoes and it’s only available in a store in that location. He agreed to come with me because he works nearby anyway. So we went to Brat Pack and the Native shoes there are on sale, it’s actually buy one take one for P1920! HOMAYGAD! I did not buy it right away because I still have to check if I have the budget, I told Golden about it and she said we can share. Well, I still have to check my finances and also I already have a pair of rain flats that I got for only P150 at SM Dept Store.

We also checked the other stores there such as ROX, I want to go to Res Toe Run because I found out that there are Native shoes there too but Clyde was too lazy. Maybe I will be able to convince him in the future.

I really have a huge appetite for shoes!

If you don’t know my favorite color is green. That’s why I fell in love with this shirt when I first saw it. I love the pinstripes and the pocket detail. This is a great way to wear stripes it won’t make you look wide.

I rolled up my jeans the French peasant way. O diba pati style na mga peasant fashion statement na ngayon dahil French sya, basta French sosyal, kaya I love French fashion. My favorite to pair with green is of course, blue. I love this pointy flats from Bayo, they are so comfortable. You can wear them all day long!
