My Favorite Photo Apps
In my previous post, I talked about my favorite android applications. This time I will be sharing my favorite photo applications. I use my phone most of the time to take pictures because it’s handy, since my phone does not have the nicest camera built-in to it, unless we have good lighting, I rely on this photo applications to do the trick for me, to make photos look like they have been taken by a real camera. I love that these applications are easy to use, with just a touch of a button your photo will look different and beautiful, it’s like it has been taken by a professional photographer. You might say why don’t I use Adobe Photoshop. Yes, I do use that but most of the time, I just use it to add watermark and sometimes re-size the photos, if needed. By the way I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, that’s courtesy of my sister, she gave me the installer. Also Photoshop could be a bit tricky sometimes, for a lazy person like me I just use these applications, because most of them have a PC version and an Android version.

Pixlr-o’matic, the very first photo app I used on my phone. The great thing about it is it has a browser version. So I can use it on my browser and on my phone. This app has a lot of filters. When I say a lot, I mean a lot! Good thing is you can use this app offline, you don’t have to have data connection or internet access to use it.

Streamzoo is Instagram’s greatest competitor. This application is available for both Android and IOS platforms even before when Instagram wasn’t available for Android. Honestly, Streamzoo is much better than Instagram. I like the filters of this app more than the filters on Instagram. I have been using this app for a lon. I love the filter called Toy Hipster, the photos look vintage but the colors are still vibrant.

Finally, Instagram! The app that a lot of Android users have waited, including me. I even signed up so that I get notified when it becomes available, and right after I received the email, I immediately downloaded it and signed up. The filters on Streamzoo are much nicer however, I love the borders on Instagram more! The only thing I don’t like about it is that a filter is assigned to a border. I just wish that the border is a separate part of the application.
