As always, I always dream of having this brand in my closet. A simple shirt from them will do, haha!
Madewell is one of the brands that makes denim really well. Madewell started as a brand that makes work wear, so they do know their denim.
Again, I’m in-love with the denim shirt!
I always like to bring Uno out whenever we have time. Most of the time it’s Sunday because that is the common off of my husband and I and usually we do it after church.
My mother told me before that I should bring my son out sometimes so he knows what the world is. I notice that children who don’t go out often tends to be hyperactive because everything they see outside their home is something new to them.
One mom also told me that I should let my son play with other kids so that my son will not be “salbahe.” I guess what she means is so my son would learn how to socialize.
After eating at Hainanese Delight (click here to see the separate entry), we went straight to Quantum because Uno loves to ride those token operated cars.
Sunday is always a family day, and most families bond through eating. That’s what me and my husband do most of time. We tried eating at Hainanese Delights. This is a newly opened restaurant in SM Baguio, kinda like Chowking but the food they serve are totally different. Hainanese has a more authentic taste. Best thing about them is they have unlimited hainanese rice for all their rice meals.
Uno was asleep, he was not able to eat.
1. Fit-You-to-a-T Dark Jeans
Dark jeans with a uniform wash are a no-brainer because you can wear them for day or evening and they go with everything in your closet. Instead of buying 50 random pairs, search for one that fits you in all the right places and buy a couple of those guys. Not the most exciting shopping trip, but trust us, you’ll be glad you did.
2. Nice leggings
There are the leggings you wear when you get home from work, and then there are the leggings you can actually wear in public. If you’re averse to being seen in such a body-conscious look, opt for legging jeans, which have a bit more structure. Pair them with tall boots and a knee-grazing coat and you’ll be comfy without showing off every inch of your shape.
Saw this brand’s look book on mamasarollingstone.com, and I found it very inspiring. I love the young feel of the brand. I love the patters, prints and of course their jeans.
I love the mix of floral and stripes in here, very feminine.
This is what I wore to work today, I didn’t wear slacks because I don’t think the top will look good with it. Again, I love mixing different hues of color in the same color family.
I love this heart printed shirt from Jelly Bean, (got that on sale!) because it’s very feminine. Then I’ve put on a navy cardigan to give it a contrast.
Then I’ve put on some skinny jeans, even curvy people can wear skinny jeans, you just have to find the right pair and the right size for you or else you’ll end up having bulges all over. Your jeans should hug your curves. And when you’ve found the right pair, it should make you look slimmer. Skinny jeans should make you lean and longer. I got mine from Bench, I like buying jeans from them because they have a wide range of sizes and they are durable.
To complete the look, I wore my favorite flats to date from Parisian Comfy, which you can buy at SM Department stores. Their designs are very stylish and good quality at an affordable price. I love flats because they are comfortable and I can wear them all day without hurting my feet. I’m just a flats person even if I’m short. I just can’t stand wearing heels. I even wore flats on my wedding day hehe!
Take a peek on Mango’s Spring 2012 Look Book. I think this brand has a more sophisticated look and they’re affordable. And they are sold in the Philippines. What I love this collection because it gives women day wear and evening wear. The light colors are for the day and the darker ones are for evening, or you can mix and match! They also have prints, stripes and pastel colors which is a big trend for spring.
I love looking at look books because they give me inspiration on my everyday outfits.
So now let us all be inspired.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday we have to wear business casual when coming to work. I love to color block whenever I wear corporate attire. It gives life to a boring outfit. In here I put together colors in the same family, in this outfit, it’s blue.

Another brand I love but can’t buy them. First they don’t have a shop here, even in Manila, and second they don’t ship to the Philippines, and even if they ship to the Philippines, it will be too expensive. Too bad. Again I just buy pieces that are similar but affordable.
